Yanf is a configurable news
fetcher coded in C that fetches news from many news sites and outputs
what it fetches in a configurable format. It can fetch news from backends
that use the format used by Slashdot, Freshmeat, 32bitsonline, Segfault,
Packetstorm, LinuxTelephony, LinuxToday, LinuxApps, BeBits, Geeknews,
Linux2000, and Securityfocus . It also supports the RSS/RDF forma,t
and the daily static cartoon from Userfriendly.
It's configurable from a config file. From the config file you can add
new sites, remove the ones you dont like, configure the output format,
etc.
If you want to see an example page generated by yanf you can go to yanf.sourceforge.net/daily.html
I am coding yanf alone, so if you want to help, report a bug, or just tell me that you hate/love yanf, don't doubt and send me a mail to yanf@gmx.net. I would really apreciate it.
